Session Summary:

Automated BDD enables stakeholders to verify a user story or EPIC on demand. This automation further reduces the approval delays.

Session Abstract:

Stakeholders can self-service the user story lifecycle (before closing the sprint in PMS say).

Single-click test from PMS for verify-ready stories with NO IDE requirement, NO setup needed by business users, and run tests anytime from PMS. All acceptance criteria is captured in an intuitive natural language manner.

Learning Objectives:

To achieve BDD, Product Owners write tests using an intuitive natural language based interface like “Gherkins”.

Testers will write test cases in “cucumber”. Initially these tests will fail. The developer starts working on the user story and completes it by making the test pass.

As part of sprint review, the Product Owner opens up the user stories in the PMS and checks the completeness of the story. NO IDE required and NO setup needed by business users.

On click of a Test button, the integrated CI tool will ensure a live environment comes up and the tests are run as expected.
